Objective
This position supports the Director of Investment Planning in most of the department’s responsibilities, including capital plan management, investment analysis/modeling, impairment testing, and post-investment reviews. They are gatekeepers to ensure that all investments meet the company’s financial hurdles (return on capital, net present value) and drive an improved overall return on capital performance. This area is responsible for the Capital budget in excess of $1 billion per year, ensuring funds are allocated appropriately, tracking spend, and reporting actual activity vs. budget and forecast. This department also drives accountability through a formal post-investment review process.
Primary Duties
Investment Planning and Analysis
Prepares and presents complex and detailed pro forma financial analysis to support most capital investments (new stores, replacements, remodels, investment properties, network rationalization, non-storing, etc.).
Capital Budget & Analysis activities
Develop capital plan working with Brands and RBS
Monitor capital spend, period reporting on spending
Provide the FP&A team with a detailed budget, forecast, and LRP information on capital, depreciation, return on capital, and select balance sheet lines
Investment Governance
Develop post-investment analyses for all significant investments; prepare post-investment results for presentation to the GSO (BPP/ExCo).
Work with the Brands and Accounting to prepare Value In Use calculations as part of the quarterly impairment process.
Experienced Required

Minimal Education Requirement – Bachelor’s Degree (Masters Preferred)
