What You’ll Do
The Corporate Development and Investor Relations function is part of the Corporate Finance department and is responsible for overseeing AeroVironment’s M&A and Investor Relations activities. These activities include promoting an accurate understanding of the Company’s investment thesis and value creation potential among financial stakeholders and developing, managing, and executing strategic inorganic initiatives to support AeroVironment’s long term growth.

We push forward one’s development as a business professional and a leader alike through comprehensive, on-the-job training, participation in the quarterly earnings call process, support for ongoing M&A activities and personalized liaisons to help you navigate your internship. The Finance intern reports to the Sr. Director of Corporate Development and Investor relations and is given meaningful projects along with the opportunity to interact with key internal and external stakeholders.
Position Responsibilities
Shadows members of the Corp Dev and IR team as they perform their duties
Supports the quarterly earnings preparation process
Helps with ongoing investor outreach and communications
Aids in managing pipeline of M&A opportunities
Conducts market research for potential M&A targets
Handles sensitive or confidential information with honesty and integrity
Performs additional projects as needed to learn more about corporate development and investor relations (e.g. preparation of Corporate Social Responsibility report)
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
U.S. Citizenship, U.S. Permanent Resident (Green Card holder) or asylee/refugee status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3) required.
Currently enrolled Sophomore, Junior, Senior or Grad Student pursuing a degree in Business, Finance, Economics or Accounting
Completed coursework relevant to major
Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
Must have a minimum cumulative 3.5 out of a 4.0 GPA or equivalent
Must be available to work full-time (40 hours/week) for 8-12 weeks during the Summer

AV offers the ultimate hands-on intern experience that will help prepare you for your future. We provide relocation and housing for students out of state and have a 9/80 work schedule (every other Friday off).
