Financially stable company which is located just south of Columbus (combination of distribution and light manufacturing} is seeking a Staff Accountant. You will report to the Controller, and work with a team of 8 other accounting and finance profesionals.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Month end closing: journal entries, account reconciliations, reports, and provides general ledger support
- Assistance with financial statement preparation
- Year-end audit including coordination with outside CPA
- Assistance with budget schedules: preparation and ERP system input after final approval
- Process & reporting improvements including but not limited to Financials
- Other accounting related special projects as assigned by management
- Submit sales tax adjustment spreadsheet and adjustments
- Review and verify timely and accurate filings of sales tax returns
- Address and resolve tax notices from State, and City agencies as it relates to sales tax
SKILLS / EXPERIENCE / KNOWLEDGE:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, or related field
- 5 or more years’ experience in sales tax and general accounting or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong analytical and research skills
- Flexibility and ability to adapt positively to change
- Maintain high level of accuracy, completeness
