TREASURY & CORPORATE FINANCE
Section Manager / Staff Analyst
THE ROLE:
This unique position will play a key role in AMD’s Corporate Treasury organization by maintaining corporate cash forecasting models and influencing critical business decisions. Besides cash forecasting, the position will be exposed to various areas such as Foreign Exchange (FX) Hedging, share repurchase and trade finance. Furthermore, this role will give you great exposure to various AMD executives while being involved in various strategic initiatives.
THE PERSON:
Ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator with a keen analytical mindset, drive for results and possesses strong problem-solving skills. The candidate must also have a deep understanding of financial statements and corporate finance theory.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Gather information from various functions and company data sets to ensure an accurate and optimized short to medium term cash forecast
Financial modeling – Collaborate with FP&A and Treasury peers on medium to long term cash flow statement and balance sheet forecasts
Support balance sheet and cash flow FX hedge programs, including exposure forecasting, variance analysis, hedge strategy recommendation and FX trade execution
Prepare executive proposals for share buybacks strategy and execute buybacks
Assist Senior Manager with trade financing platform implementation and management
Partner with technical accounting team to drive accounting treatment and disclosures
Perform periodic debt covenant compliance tests and execute related SOX controls
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
Progressive experience in Corporate Finance, Investment Banking or Treasury experience
Strong proficiency in Financial Modeling
Advanced Microsoft Office suite capabilities (Excel and PowerPoint) including Excel shortcut keys
Strong organizational, critical thinking and internal/external customer service skills
Attention to detail
Demonstrated capability in excel Macros VBA, or other programming languages
Communication and presentation skills with executive presentation experience
Experienced in managing multiple projects and meeting competing deadlines
Ability to drive for results in a dynamic fast paced business environment with a desire to continuously improve existing processes
Ability to clearly communicate priorities, deliverables, issues, and results to management
Experienced in working in a global team environment with different time zones
Working knowledge of Executive data reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau etc.
Broad knowledge and interest in financial markets
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field, MBA, or CFA designation preferred
