Finance Data Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Finance Data Engineer to serve as a critical link between our Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Team and the Business Intelligence (BI) Team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in ETL processes and financial data management, ensuring efficient data flow and actionable insights across our financial systems. This role requires a deep understanding of financial data models and hands-on experience with ETL tools, databases, and reporting platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the FP&A and BI teams to design, implement, and optimize ETL processes for financial data.
• Develop and maintain robust data pipelines using Matillionand Informatica.
• Ensure seamless data integration and migration across financial systems, including Snowflake, Oracle, and MS SQL.
• Partner with stakeholders to understand business requirements and deliver data solutions that enhance reporting capabilities.
• Create and optimize financial dashboards and reports using Qlikand Power BIto support decision-making.
• Troubleshoot and resolve data discrepancies between financial systems and BI reports.
• Ensure data integrity, consistency, and accuracy within financial databases and reporting tools.
• Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities for automation and optimization within data processes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, or a related field.
• Proven experience with ETL tools such as Matillion and Informatica.
• Strong SQL skills with experience in databases like Snowflake, Oracle, and MS SQL.
• Knowledge of financial reporting tools like Qlik and Power BI.
• Ability to bridge the gap between finance and technical teams, translating business needs into actionable data solutions.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Finance or accounting experience is a plus.
