• The Manager, Finance ensures the company’s businesses management, defining methodologies and procedures for the accounting process, internal controls, at complying with the local and American laws and global policies of the company. Guarantee the process established by the TOM being the contact with COEs and AFS.

  Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the preparation and analysis of internal and external actuals reporting, ensuring the quality, reliability, and timeliness of the reports.
  • Work with the Technical Accounting team to assist in the preparation and tie-out of 10Q/10K disclosures quarterly.
  • Facilitate and own the Finance close procedures, validation of accounts and Financial Statements
  • Review and resolve outstanding local account reconciliations and work with business and finance employees to resolve any discrepancies
  • Be the FSS (Financial Shared Services) contact person and run monthly cooperation review and close review meetings with FSS
  • Facilitate and review monthly local close procedures, including preparation of manual journal entries to be submitted to FSS
  • Manage intercompany balance review
  • Support the FP&A commercial and R&D teams with preparation of monthly accrual proposals
• Facilitate the proper recording of significant external collaboration
  • Partner with FP&A Alliance Management team on cost share calculation used for monthly bookings, including true ups to various benchmarks bookings.
  • Assist in the proper recording of any developments in the collaboration agreements in accordance with company policy and structure.
  • Prepare quarterly royalty calculations based on worldwide IMBRUVICA sales and execution of timely payments and documentation.
  • Ensure collaboration charges are captured accurately and in accordance with the company structure
  • Verify the partner’s collaboration invoice accuracy and completeness
• Ensure departmental practices are compliant with AbbVie finance policies. Develop and implement process changes and controls to meet the needs of ABA functions while minimizing financial risk.
  • Ensure Sarbanes Oxley section 404 (SOX) compliance; participate in ongoing monitoring, evaluation, and documentation of local internal controls, implementing new controls as needed
  • Perform revenue recognition review based on US-GAAP and revenue recognition policy for any new or amended customer contracts to ensure revenue is represented correctly in the financial statements.
  • Understand and validate the OTC/RTR/PTP module to blend into the existing entity structure, working closely with the teams to customize the workflows of the modules based on business model.
  • Work with departments, FSS and BPO to ensure timely and accurate cutoff procedures
• Work closely with EY/SOX/other internal audit teams to successfully carry out routine and special audits. This includes sharing the right documents, providing descriptions and rationale of the controls, and walking them through the financial structure and technicalities.
• Perform revenue tracking analyses to manage guardrails, channel DOH trends, and demand trends to avoid speculative buys/over stocking of inventory by distributors and inventory shortage, as well as help support forecasting for FP&A leadership with maximum visibility and lead time into anticipated actual results vs. forecasts.
• Partner with the tax department to ensure accurate US/OUS cost allocations, accurate entity charges in accordance with IP structure

• Bachelors degree.
• Chartered/Fully Qualified accountant status in line with local accounting regulations.
• Fluent in English
