DIRECTOR OF FINANCE & ADMINISTRATIONPOSITION OVERVIEWAAPI Equity Alliance (AAPI Equity) seeks an experienced Director of Finance & Administration (DFA) to support the organization. Reporting to the Deputy Director, the DFA will help advance our work in civic engagement, capacity-building, and policy advocacy. The DFA will be working to support AAPI Equity’s various initiatives, including Stop AAPI Hate; health-related initiatives like COVID-19 vaccination outreach and domestic violence prevention; and civic programs such as voter engagement and redistricting.AAPI Equity is experiencing a tremendous growth phase, with an infusion of significant grant opportunities that will require its team to double in size in the next six months.The DFA plays a significant leadership position in helping AAPI Equity achieve its mission and maximizing the organization’s impact. The primary role of the DFA is to lead and strengthen AAPI Equity’s internal organizational capacity building support systems that undergird operations. The Director is responsible for multiple capacity areas, including finance, administrative, human resources, information technology, and facilities.The DFA will directly supervise an Administrative Assistant, and work closely with the accounting consultant and staff of the organization. The DFA will lead the growth of the finance and administrative areas of the organization. The DFA will also interface with AAPI Equity’s, Board of Directors, Committees, and contracted vendors.The ideal candidate will possess excellent written, oral, analytical, finance, and organizational skills and have direct experience in a nonprofit environment. Experience and knowledge of issues impacting Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) communities and current events is preferred. COMPENSATION AND BENEFITSAnnual salary range $95,000 – $125,000, DOE, full-time, 40-hour/week, exempt position. Benefits package includes vacation and sick leave, reimbursement for health, vision, and dental insurance, and a budget for technology. This position is hybrid, with in-person meetings in the DTLA office 1-3x per week.
