Description
Our reputable client is seeking a Finance Manager to join the company for an interim opportunity. Join our team on a contract basis, where you will be responsible for providing the required financial information, analysis, and advice in order to make financially sound decisions, working closely with management in various business groups. In addition, the Finance Manager will be tasked with the responsibility of articulating the financial results at the end of each reporting period and for each planning cycle.
Responsibilities
Manage all aspects of the annual/quarterly/monthly budget and reforecast processes
Produce management reporting to be presented to a board, summarizing findings and recommendations
Assemble detailed business unit projections, highlight risks/opportunities, and oversee the preparation of relevant materials
Develop processes to improve close cycle times and reduce errors by working with the accounting team
Develop methods to automate and institute reports using BI tools and financial systems
Develop operating and financial metrics, analyze results and trends to create impactful insights, report results to executive leadership and key stakeholders, and improve forecasting and modelling accuracy
Requirements
Bachelor or Business Administration degree with a specialization in Finance or Accounting
Strong skills in MS Excel, including financial modeling and data analysis capabilities
Strong written and verbal skills to interact clearly and effectively in a fast-changing environment
Solid understanding of financial modeling and accounting implications
Minimum of 4+ years of progressive experience in an Accounting and Finance leadership capacity
CPA designation or MBA preferred
Nonprofit industry experience highly preferred
