Responsibilities :
Developing and implementing strategic purchasing plans and policies to optimize procurement processes and achieve cost savings.
Leading and managing a team of purchasing professionals, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Finance, Operations, and Supply Chain, to align purchasing strategies with overall business objectives.
Conducting market research and analysis to identify potential suppliers, evaluate their capabilities, and negotiate favorable terms and conditions.
Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring timely delivery of goods and services while maintaining quality standards.
Monitoring and analyzing market trends, pricing fluctuations, and supplier performance to identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.
Overseeing the procurement process, including vendor selection, contract negotiation, and supplier performance evaluation.
Developing and implementing inventory management strategies to optimize stock levels and minimize carrying costs.Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and company policies, including ethical sourcing and sustainability initiatives.
Collaborating with internal stakeholders to forecast demand, plan procurement activities, and manage supplier relationships effectively.
Qualifications and Skills : Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Master’s degree is preferred.
Proven experience in a senior-level purchasing or procurement role, with a minimum of 8-10 years of relevant experience.Strong leadership and managerial skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
In-depth knowledge of procurement best practices, market trends, and supplier management strategies.Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in procurement software and systems.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Familiarity with relevant regulations and compliance requirements.
Professional certifications such as Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) or Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) are a plus.
