Summary /Objective
This position is responsible for the strategic and tactical operational success of Mellow Mushroom restaurants in a designated geography of the United States. This is done by continual improvement in guest and employee experience, food quality control, operational soundness and innovation.
Essential Functions
• Measure and report on performance metrics for each store and provide action plans and timing for required improvements.
• Oversee the quality of service and food that is delivered to each customer, making sure that it adheres to company standards.
• Provide Franchise Owners with strategic and tactical guidance on restaurant operations, standards, and guidelines including service, product preparation, and customer service.
• Provide guidance to the selection and development of store General Managers.
• Provide supervision and coaching for field Business Advisors.
• Make frequent field visits to low performing and high performing stores and all new store openings.
• Foster positive relationships with employees and franchisees.
• Ensure the recruitment, selection and development, and retention of company store leadership personnel.
• Evaluate strengths and development needs of the future company store leaders of the organization; build leadership teams to leverage the strengths of each person.
• Foster a passion for personalized, attentive service among restaurant team members and store leadership.
• Understand and support the Company’s mission, vision, values and priorities, and communicate them to their BA’s.
• Support the construction, development, and training of any new Company or Franchise
locations.
Competencies
• Solid progressive multi-unit, casual dining restaurant leadership experience.
• Experience working in a Franchise environment.
• Ability to conceive, implement and ensure sustainability of initiatives and strategies.
• A long-standing pattern of demonstrating Flawless Execution (by reaching goals on time
and on budget, to the stated metrics/measurements).
• A long-standing pattern of demonstrating high initiative (by being self-motivated, having
strong internal drive of exceeding requirements and applying innovation).
• Ability to successfully lead a team and programs.

• Effectively communicate with direct reports, key stakeholders, franchise owners and
operators, and executive team on key measures and initiatives.
• Strong financial acumen, analysis/problem-solving, negotiation and influencing skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and operate within a constantly changing, demanding,
and highly accountable environment.
• Strong project management and organizational skills; demonstrated track record for
flexibility and urgency in prioritizing and organizing projects.
Supervisory Responsibility
This role supervises Business Advisors.
Position Type
This is a full-time position.
Travel
Approximately 50% travel expected during a calendar year. A requirement of this job is to attend
store openings, trainings and visits – which could include evenings and weekends. When not
traveling, this role has a hybrid weekly work schedule (three days offsite and two days at corporate
location).
Required Education and Experience
• Undergraduate degree and/or 5+ years of multi-unit management experience
