Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Financial Leadership:
o Champion the financial planning, budgeting, and reporting initiatives, ensuring alignment with the company’s strategic vision.
o Spearhead the development and execution of short-term and long-term financial strategies, fostering organizational growth and financial health.
Financial Management and Oversight:
o Ensure the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of all financial and operational reporting across the company.
o Establish robust systems and controls to uphold the integrity of all financial processes and data.
Communication and Reporting:
o Provide insightful analysis, interpretation, and communication of financial results and operational performance to the executive team, Board and parent company.
Operational Excellence:
o Oversee a range of special projects with the potential to significantly impact the company’s trajectory and market position.
Team Leadership and Development:
o Lead and mentor the financial department’s managers and staff, instilling a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
o Manage people processes and systems effectively, in alignment with the company’s policies and culture.
Qualifications / Experience:
Educational and Professional Credentials:
o Undergraduate degree in Finance or Accounting is required. MBA and/or CPA preferred.
o Proven track record of financial leadership, with significant experience in a senior financial managerial position within a high-growth organization.
o 5+ years experience in executive leadership roles.
o 10+ years experience in financial management.
Strategic Acumen and Analytical Skills:
o Strong strategic thinking and an analytical mindset, with the ability to lead organizational change and financial restructuring.
Operational and Leadership Prowess:
o Demonstrated ability to oversee financial operations, manage teams, and develop robust financial systems and controls.
Communication and Influence:
o Exceptional communication skills with the ability to articulate complex financial information to stakeholders at all levels.
Industry Expertise:
o Experience within the logistics, supply chain or transportation sectors with a deep understanding of economic factors influencing the industries, is advantageous.
