Hublot of America is seeking an Accounting Manager who will handle the day-to-day accounting operations of two entities. This person will provide financial data to management on a timely basis, while ensuring transactions are properly accounted for within generally accepted and standard accounting practices. This person will also lead and develop the Accounting team.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Accounting manager oversees the general accounting and tax functions, which include
accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, treasury, inventory, assets management
and taxes.
Handles the day-to-day accounting operations of 2 entities (a US and a Canadian entity),
provides financial data and explanations to management on a timely basis while ensuring
transactions are properly accounted for within generally accepted and standard accounting
practices. Leads and develops the Accounting Team.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
1. Responsible for the integrity of the general ledger accounts, verifying that P&L accounts
are used consistently and that all balance sheet accounts balances can be substantiated.
2. Prepares, reviews, and analyzes financial statements to ensure accuracy and
completeness.
3. Closes the books in an accurate and timely manner
a. Prior to close, reviews activity and make sure any anomaly has been identified,
investigated, and solved.
b. During close, ensures all accounting tasks are performed according to the
monthly close check list
c. After the close, leads the monthly accounts and balance sheet review with the
Finance Director
4. Develops staff by managing performance, setting goals, providing ongoing training, and
maintaining strong employee relationships.
5. Works with all departments (logistics, sales, marketing, retail, etc.) that have an impact
on financial statements to understand key business initiatives and ensure that the
financial implications of those initiatives are captured properly in the books and records.
6. Supports our retail network for all matters related to accounting (payments, sales tax,
etc.) and provides training as needed.
7. Responsible for the Tax function:
a. Income tax: works closely with LVMH Inc and income tax filings preparers and
auditors.
b. Sales tax (US) / Indirect tax (Canada): prepares returns autonomously and
accurately.
c. Local taxes: manages directly local taxes (tangible personal property, real estate,
business taxes, etc.)
8. Serves as key business / financial consultant for various business departments.
9. Ensures that adequate provisions or allowances are maintained for returns, inventories,
receivables, deferred rent, warranties, and other obligations.
10. Primary contact for tax auditors, local tax authorities, and tax advisors.
11. Improve and secure all Accounting-related operational processes through automation
and streamlining current process.
12. Performs ad hoc analysis and projects as needed.

Proven experience in people management
Understands Finance concepts and impact of decisions
Possesses a clear understanding of basic accounting practices, revenue recognition
principals, month end close processing, best practices for accruals and method for
preparation of financial statements
Advanced knowledge of Excel
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Excellent analysis skills and capacity to share conclusions in a clear, rational way
Demonstrated ability to communicate with customers, co-workers, and business
contacts in a courteous and professional manner both in written and verbal formats
Demonstrated ability to adeptly manage multiple projects simultaneously with strong

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor or master’s degree in Accounting or Finance
At least 8-10 years of accounting experience required, previous Managerial experience
required as well. CPA is a plus
