I am looking for an equity research associate in the Lodging & Leisure (Cruise lines, Vacation Ownership, Resorts) sector. Prior experience with Lodging & Leisure and/or equity research is highly preferred. I will also consider a candidate with a background in Lodging, Cruise Lines, and/or Vacation Ownership industries.

We are currently seeking an EQUITY RESEARCH ASSOCIATE/ANALYST to support our Lodging & Leisure sector coverage. The position is based in New York City. The ideal candidate will have specific experience in either equity research or investment banking, exceptional communication and quantitative skills, a keen interest in financial services and markets, outstanding time management skills, and a passion for conducting and communicating unique and thought-provoking research. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare company and industry research reports under direction of a senior analyst
• Create and maintain financial and industry models
• Respond to requests for information and analysis from multiple clients, including traders, institutional salespeople, institutional investors, company management teams, etc.
Skills Required:
• Experience in equity research or investment banking.
• Experience in Lodging, Cruise Lines, and/or Vacation Ownership sector(s) is preferred.
• Resourcefulness: the ability to find or develop answers to questions starting with incomplete information and limited direction
• Attention-to-detail: a perfectionist approach to analysis and communication
• Speed: the ability to respond to requests very quickly while maintaining a perfectionist approach
• Writing: the ability to succinctly and clearly explain complex information
• Financial modeling: Some understanding of the three primary financial statements, how they relate to each other, and how to build models in Excel to forecast key values
• Computer skills: Proficient in Excel, Word and PowerPoint
