Job Description:
Work closely with program managers, procurement, and contracts to develop, track, analyze, and drive program performance. Provide visibility and insight on program status through program planning and control activities including estimate at completion (EAC), status reporting, Earned Value and risk analysis. Travel to domestic and international sites to analyze, advise and implement best financial practices on critical programs. Initial short-term assignment in Australia to assess current EACs and implement Earned Value and best practice program financial processes.
Essential Functions:
Preparing detailed program team budgets
Building relationships with Program Manager and other key functions
Analyzing and driving program financial performance
Identify and develop process improvements to streamline reporting, improve efficiency and provide business insight.
Reviewing, analyzing, implementing new and improved processes
Maintaining timely and accurate EACs
Preparing and analyzing variance analysis in support of program management for internal weekly and monthly reviews.
Conducting ad hoc analysis as required.
Qualifications: (refer to Career Framework)
Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 12 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 16 years of prior related experience. Basic understanding of cost accounting and FA principles. Familiarity with Costpoint or other ERP.
Proficient with Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications
Experience with Earned Value Management, IPMR CDRL submittal and an Earned Value tool (COBRA, etc.)
Experience in the Aerospace & Defense industry
Ability to handle multiple priorities and projects.
Should be a self-starter that can work independently and, in a team, environment.
Must use management by fact, understand risk management and be able to work well within a team.
Must be a US Citizen, with the ability to obtain and maintain a US Secret clearance if needed.
Travel required both domestically and internationally.
Preferred Additional Skills:
Strong interpersonal and leadership skill set, including the capability to interface with customers and form strong business partnerships with key program leaders.
Advanced skill level with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word
Familiarity with an ERP an Earned Value tool, preferably Cost Point and Cobra
Strong organizational skills and demonstrated ability to prioritize in a dynamic environment.
Strong analytical skills including the ability to proactively solve problems and issues in a timely manner.
Self-motivated and strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to work with people of all levels/functions within the organization.
Strong communication skills (oral, written, listening)
