Hublot of America is currently seeking for a Staff Accountant to join the team.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Staff Accountant is responsible for providing accounting and financial support to Hublot (Canada). Their main responsibilities will include but are not limited to full cycle accounting for one of our entities: accounts payable, accounts receivable, month end close, cash reconciliation and reporting, sales tax preparation and financial reporting.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Month End Close
• Manage monthly end close process for Canada market: Journal Entries, Payroll accruals, Prepaid Schedule, Fixed Assets management, etc.
• Responsible for monthly and yearly accruals and provisions
Payroll
• Post Payroll entries on a bi-weekly basis and ensure accuracy of posting
Accounts Payable / Account Receivable
• Maintain vendor relations: coordinate the vendor creation process, answer to day-to-day inquiries, maintain a good relationship and constant flow of communication
• Manage full cycle invoice administration: from reception to preparation of payment and archiving
• Maintain Retailer/Boutiques relation: Review the cashbook, post payments, review and respond to boutique/retailer requests
• Handle payments: Post boutique customer payments, check proper documentation, sales tax and payment types, filing for cash payment
• Send customer statements twice a month
• Responsible for reviewing and processing expense reports.
• Organize and maintain updated records and audit company records
• Prepaid bi-weekly checks run that will be submitted for payment by Accounting Manager
• Monitor both AR and AP inboxes
Daily Cash Reconciliation: reconcile bank statements with the company books on daily basis
Cash Deposits
• Report all cash transactions over $10k through Fintrac reporting
Canada Taxes
• Prepare supporting documentation for indirect tax and income tax.
Finance and Accounting support to Retail network
• Be point of contact for retail teams regarding closing processes, invoicing, administration of the boutiques
• Advise boutique teams of company internal procedures
• Audit and ensure proper application are in compliance with company policy & procedures
Required Skills/Abilities:
• Working knowledge of GAAP and IFRS standards
• Experience with ERP software (SAP, Dynamics…) is a plus
• MS Office advanced – able to create spreadsheets and manipulate data effectively for analysis
• Attention to details
• Experience with retail industry desired
• Extensive knowledge of general financial accounting.
• Understanding of and ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles.
• Highly proficient with accounting software.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
• Strong organizational and time management skills and capacity to meet deadlines
• Solid interpersonal and communications skills: ability to interact and communicate not only with vendors/retailers but also with all departments of our organization
• Flexibility and capability to work within a fast-paced and fast-changing business environment
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, flexible and dynamic attitude towards work

Education and Experience:
– Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline required.
