Director – GWS Project Management FP&A
The Director will be responsible for leading the FP&A team within GWS Project Management Finance, ensuring that it is built to deliver optimum service and align with the Project Management business and our functional leaders who support GWS. The candidate must be a leader with an approach passionate about engaging with the business, simplifying and automating processes, attention to detail, and strong communication skills. In addition, the ideal candidate has experience in leading large, successful, and highly engaged teams and operates with a team mentality as they partner with many other organizations within CBRE for our combined success.
What you’ll do
Responsible for all FP&A activities, including ownership and management of budgeting, forecasting, reporting and analysis for all collaborators within GWS Project Management
Serve as a strategic advisor to the GWS PJM President and CFO, and strategic business partner for Corporate FP&A
Drive finance transformation, innovation & improvement initiatives for FP&A within GWS Finance, orchestrating a strategic approach, observations based on data, analytics that drive better business decisions, and the setting of financial/performance targets
Apply data and insights as a driver to structure and solve business problems and make recommendations on a wide range of opportunities in collaboration with various internal team members
Establish and implement strategies to change the trajectory of growth, evolve internal business partner relationships, and demonstrate tangible impact through measurable improvements in Finance performance
Develop a hard-working culture within your team that becomes the benchmark for excellence at CBRE; develop talent from within as well as recruit talent that can inject fresh opinions, skills, and experiences
What you’ll need
12 years of work experience with a bachelor’s degree or at least 12 years of experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters/MBA/JD)
Upbeat, analytical business executive with proven thought leadership on how technology, data, and analytics can transform decision making within the business
Outstanding intuition for business and technical difficulty with ability to seamlessly shift between conversations with executives and technical staff
Extraordinary leadership capabilities – direct, matrixed and influential
Excellent verbal, written, motivational and interpersonal skills
Steadfast client-centric, result-driven approach coupled with strong problem-solving skills and ability to break down sophisticated problems to promote alternative, new ways of thinking
Proven experience using data from a variety of sources to craft relevant business insights that drive strategic or financial value
