We are seeking an inspired and collaborative team player to join our growing Finance program as a Staff Accountant (Financial Specialist). The Financial Specialist is responsible for using financial management knowledge to perform cost analyses, prepare budgets and evaluate current accounting trends. The position will also advise the Shared Services management team on strategic decisions in alignment with business objectives.
Responsibilities:
– Manage day-to-day accounts payable processing for multiple sites and multiple grants across Acelero Camden Philadelphia, ensuring timely and accurate processing of all invoices for payment.
– Verify invoices for accuracy and appropriate backup documentation. Code to proper general ledger account and allocate to proper funding source.
– Manage and process reimbursement and expenses for Food Services.
– Track budget to actual for the Training & Travel budget.
– Assist the Director of Finance with the review and analysis of allocations for multiple funding sources, monitoring of other budget to actuals, and fiscal oversight and reporting of all Acelero Partnerships, as needed.
– Reconciliation of various general ledger accounts as assigned.
– File and maintenance of all files for the Finance Department, and various other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
– A high school diploma or equivalent required; Associate Degree or course credits equivalent in accounting or related field preferred.
– Minimum three (3) years of accounting or equivalent.
– Proficiency in Excel and strong writing and communications skills.
– Experience in education or non-profit environment preferred.
– Travel required locally or long-distance up to 10% of the time for work-related meetings and functions.
– Must have reliable transportation.
This position earns up to 28.17 Hourly
