The Role
You will support all financial and fiscal management aspects of the Regional Vertical business segment and provide leadership. You will oversee all financial functions including budgeting, financial analysis, financial operations, product pricing and estimating. You will also support important business development and strategic planning processes to ensure all priorities/actions are connected to the vertical business segment. You will report directly to the Vertical Finance Director and dotted line to the Regional Vertical General Manager. You will be remote but overseeing out Joplin, MO and Lawrenceburg, TN locations. There will be about 35% of travel for this position.
Expected to provide sound financial advice to the appropriate management members to make sound decisions for our company, with a primary focus on:
Forecasting and Planning
80/20
Profitability Analysis and Improvement Plans
Operational Reporting and Analysis
Investment Review and Prioritization
Support Growth Strategies and Analysis
Responsibilities
Manage Plant Controllers in their Region.
Performance / Variance Analysis
Business Development Support (Valuation, DD, Integration)
Evaluate Expansion Strategies and Plans (Plants, Regions)
80/20 financial support, including data analytics and warehousing, along with target setting and tracking.
Help prepare regional financial statements, financial reports, special analyses, and information reports including ensuring the accuracy of the statements.
Lead, direct, and control the region’s financial resources to maintain the short- and long-term financial health of the business.
Contribute to strategic planning in our Vertical Finance Director to develop and implement an organization-wide financial strategy that aligns with the Vertical’s vision and its current and long-term goals.
Lead the monthly forecasting and annual planning processes for the regional plants. Compile relevant market data for volume projections. Finalize vertical-level outputs with the Finance Director. Promote accountability and ensure submission of deliverables.
Communicate regional-level financial results and forecast outlook to the Vertical Finance Director.
Oversee Regional Vertical business profitability analysis, operational performance analysis and related improvement plans.
Collaborate with Vertical leaders to develop and implement financial improvement plans, including future state financial targets.
Support compliance with Modine Financial Standard Practices and accounting controls. Maintain accounting control goals for our Vertical Finance Team with the Corporate Controller.
Partner with business leaders to achieve great results.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
Minimum of 5 years of financial experience in a global manufacturing environment
Experience as the finance leader of a large (>$250 million) business segment/division
Background in financial analysis, forecasting, and operational controlling
System skills including knowledge of an integrated ERP system; previous use and knowledge of SAP and Hyperion
Estimated Base Salary Range – $96,000 – $144,000
The wage range for this role takes into account a wide range of factors including but not limited to skills, experience, and location. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographical differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.
