Accounting/Financial Reporting Manager (Financial Services)
$100k – $120k + Bonus

Global multi-billion $$$ financial services/banking conglomerate now seeks entrepreneur for unique opportunity working closely with Controller & CFO. Seeking 5+ years (CPA a plus) (BIG 4 or mid-tier accounting firm and/or publicly held company required) Responsible for all aspects of financial reporting/GAAP, accounting month-end and quarter-end close process, subsidiary reporting to the parent, other routine or ad hoc reporting as well as technical accounting research. Responsible for the timely and accurate preparation and coordination of the Bank’s annual financial statements, parent reporting, and projects. Perform and/or review standard monthly, quarterly and year-end deliverables including closing process, general ledger activities for both U.S. GAAP and IFRS, and the balance sheet account reconciliation process. Manage (prepare or review) the accounting tasks of the department, accounting month end close, internal / external audits, review of the monthly entries, assist with analytical research (income statement, balance sheet), enhance internal controls, assist with improving and simplifying various accounting and reporting processes, assist with decision-making, lead ad-hoc projects. Perform and/or review standard monthly, quarterly and year-end deliverables including closing process, general ledger activities for both U.S. GAAP and IFRS, and the balance sheet account reconciliation process. Provide financial information to management by research and analyzing accounting/financial data and preparing investment reports. Supervise/respond to inquiries from other groups in the bank related to financial results and accounting record. Create, maintain, or update procedures related to the accounting and reporting functions of the group. Support the Bank’s standards and regulatory remediation, as well as identify risks and recommend/implement controls to mitigate those risks. Coordinate, preparation and review of the Bank’s annual financial statements. Responsible for regulatory filings per FRB or OCC’s reporting requirements. Prior SEC reporting experience a plus. Experience with technical accounting research and documentation a plus. Strong quantitative and qualitative analysis skills; excellent written and oral communication skills. Excellent knowledge of financial accounting reporting systems and software tools. Proficiency with MS Office software suite, particularly Excel. Experience in PeopleSoft and nVision a plus. Ability to interact effectively with all levels of colleagues, both within the Finance Division and throughout the Bank, including senior and executive management, external auditors and third-party consultants.
