JOB SUMMARY:
Finance leader and business partner for Global Purchasing and Supply Chain (GPSC) team.
This role will partner with the GPSC team, Business Units Finance, Digital Technology and Segment Leadership to drive attainment of strategic and operating goals to purchased materials and services.
This position will directly to the Director of Finance but, will be an integral and embedded member of the GPSC team, with a strong indirect ing relationship to the Segment Vice President of GPSC.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
These duties are not meant to be all-inclusive and other duties may be assigned.
Develop and enhance dashboards, scorecards and/or s which compare actual results to targets and provide accurate, actionable information to management, driving accountability across GPSC organization.
Track material cost savings projects and material cost trends to provide clarity on how these ties into actual business unit financial results, forecasts and product costs.
Key contact and coordination point for GPSC and Digital Technology (DT) systems and tools.
Provide timely and balanced information about favorable and adverse impacts, trends, opportunities and threats related to purchased materials and services to key stakeholders.
Collaborates across leadership teams to align GPSC strategies with business unit strategies and builds strong, effective relationships that support and enhance collaboration.
Collaborates with GPSC and business units supporting of “Make vs. Buy” decisions.
Serves as a change agent, proactively identifying opportunities and implementing process efficiencies to improve both functional and overall business operations and results.
Budgets and forecasts material spend, purchase price variances (PPV), tariffs, duties, rebates and discounts, freight and logistics costs.
Budgets and forecasts GPSC departmental expenses and GPSC-driven capital and tooling expenditures.
Enhances financial rigor, acumen and accountability for results in all GPSC activities.
Ensures tight alignment between GPSC, Cost Accounting and Business Unit finance in setting and maintenance of material, logistics and related cost standards.
Responsible for monitoring, documentation and updating of key internal controls within GPSC, in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley process and the Corporate Accounting Policies and Procedures (CAPP) manual.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
Six (6) or more years of relevant experience in accounting, finance, or treasury.
Ability to travel 10%.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Thorough knowledge of various financial regulations (ie. GAAP, international laws).
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to travel 10%.
