Job Description:
The Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcasting (ADS-B) program within L3Harris Technologies Aviation Systems Segment has an opening for a Finance Lead, Program Financial Analyst to join our team of qualified and diverse individuals in Herndon, VA. The employee will work in a fast-paced environment with high expectations leading a complex and diverse program that is currently over $2B. The position will be responsible for program life cycle modeling including revenue recognition, customer, and internal financial reporting, OSPI forecasting and analysis on a variety of programs. Candidate should have experience with multiple contract types, be self-motivated and have strong interpersonal skills.
Essential Functions:
• Provide financial leadership for the program team and related functional teams.
• Analyze current and past trends in key performance indicators including all areas of revenue, operating income, and cash flow on programs with varying contract types.
• Preparing weekly/monthly internal key performance metrics and program review packages for senior management.
• Preparing financial analysis including Estimate at completion, variance, risk and profit/loss analyses, etc.
• Assessing and Preparing ASC606 Revenue Recognition forms.
• Developing budgets to meet contractual/project financial requirements on a program.
• Preparing and analyzing project cost estimates at completion inclusive of forecasted projections for labor, material, and subcontract expenditures.
• Identify and develop process improvements to streamline reporting and improve efficiency.
• Provide financial analysis for audits and other financial activities.
• Lead portfolio of commercial programs.
• Lead the development of segment priority cost proposal for critical FAA program. Will include complex financial modeling to support strategic pricing considerations in advance of proposal effort.
• Assist in financial migration efforts as required.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in finance and equivalent with a minimum of 12 years of experience working on defense or government related contracts
• Master’s degree highly preferred
Preferred Additional Skills:
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skill set, including the capability to interface with customers and form strong business partnerships with key program leaders
• Advanced skill level with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
• Proficient working knowledge of PeopleSoft financial systems
• Strong organizational skills and demonstrated ability to prioritize in a dynamic environment
• Strong analytical skills including the ability to proactively solve problems and issues in a timely manner
• Self-motivated and strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to work with people of all levels/functions within the organization
• Strong communication skills (oral, written, listening)
