Job Summary:
The Vice President-Finance directs and oversees the financial activities of the company, directs the preparation of financial reporting and budgeting, creates forecasts predicting future growth, administers banking, insurance, and retirement plan functions, and makes smart financial decisions for the company. This is the senior finance position in the company and reports to the President/CEO.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Oversee Accounting/Finance department, budget preparation, audit functions, and payroll processing.
Mentor the Controller and proactively engage in goal setting with the Finance Team as part of the company personal development culture.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Direct the preparation of all financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, tax returns, and governmental agency reports.
Compare sales and profit projections to actual results and budgeted expenses to actual expenses; make or oversee any necessary adjustments to future projections and budgets.
Serve as Plan Administrator for the company 401-k Plan and the ESOP which includes the census preparation and corresponding review of the TPA reports for reporting, audit, and Form 5500 preparation.
Complete the due diligence requests for the ESOP Trustee and Valuation Firm to calculate the annual share price of the ESOP.
Prepare and analyze the weekly cash flow forecast on a rolling 8-week cycle including the weekly approval of vendor payments.
Work with the President/CEO and other Vice Presidents on the Executive Team to plan, prioritize, and strategize on future growth and general operation opportunities.
Lead the annual business insurance renewal options for appropriate risk management and collaborate with the VP-Human Resources on the annual health insurance and related benefits renewal.
Build strong banking relationship for borrowing and investment options and maintains bank covenant calculations for compliance.
Prepare the year-end consolidation of the company operations and related party real estate ventures
Required Skills/Abilities:

Proficient in excel and accounting computer application systems.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Accounting required.
Certified Public Accountant designation preferred.
Eight to ten years of experience in financial management required and preferably in a mid-size company with 300 or more employees.
