This is a Continuous posting that will remain open for 90 days or until the position is filled.
The Staff Manager will oversee the Administrative Support Team for the Information Technology Services Division (ITSD). This position reports to the Chief Information Officer. This position will participate in ITSD leadership strategy and operations; work closely with other managers within ITSD; Be responsible for all administrative policies, processes and operations as well as manage purchasing budgets, contracts, travel, purchasing and human resources. This position has oversee and be responsible for administering resources, operational activities and supervising three administrative staff. This position will manage a contracted grants manager and be responsible for oversight and management of technology grants, procurement and contracts directly related to COVID-19. This position will work closely with the Administrative Services Division and finance managers from all of the divisions within the Department of Health to manage budgets for Information Technology. This position will provide administrative support for all of ITSD and work closely with other administrative support roles throughout the Department of Health.
Oversee and manage standard procurement, grants and contracting processes, procedures, and policies. Provide guidance to IT leadership and staff on administrative practices. Collaborate with other department fiscal managers, ability to proactively obtain, track and procure funding opportunities. Collaborate with other department grant managers, ability to proactively obtain, track and procure funding opportunities specific to grants.
This position supports all of the Department of Health, with some inter-agency collaborations as well.
Excellent communication (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office products such as Word and Excel.
Familiarity with State of New Mexico Procurement Processes.
Familiarity with State of New Mexico financial management system (SHARE).
A Bachelor’s Degree in any field of study from an accredited college or university and five (5) years of professional level experience operating within parameters and guidelines directly related to the purpose of the position defined by the agency at the time of recruitment.
