Job Summary
Responsible for managing and coordinating the daily job functions of Headend Technicians, Engineers and the daily operations of assigned facilities. Establishes performance goals and monitors progress through coaching, mentoring and career development. Configures and manages the lab on a daily basis. Assists in the planning and implementation of new product introductions. Interprets, maintains and installs network management systems. Leads assigned projects and ensures that they are finished on time and in adherence to the budget.

Core Responsibilities
Provides training and guidance to technical personnel.
Assists Field and Headend Technicians with technical problems.
Interfaces with other departments regarding daily error reporting and database management.
Coordinates with Operations staff regarding digital and analog addressability activity.
Submits regular reports to senior management; partners with senior management to prepare the department budget.
Manages all third-party integrations; works with product owners to assess integrations and perform the planning, design and ongoing management of the lab.
Researches potential headend equipment purchases; reviews purchase requests and suggests changes to better meet operational and budgetary objectives.
Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.

Additional Responsibilities & Qualifications:
A self-starter who demonstrates critical thinking, self-motivation, courage, and curiosity.
Intermediate knowledge of Critical Infrastructure systems, (power/space/cooling) their importance and functionality to Headend Infrastructure
Ability to partner with functional teams to influence, drive alignment, standardization and efficiency
Ability to formulate comprehensive strategic plans and present them virtually and in person to SLT
Responsible for the oversight, success, coordination and for finding solutions for all assigned Headend areas

Education
Bachelor’s Degree
While possessing the stated degree is preferred, Comcast also may consider applicants who hold some combination of coursework and experience, or who have extensive related professional experience.
