Summary of Position
Senior finance position responsible leading complex financial, economic, and statistical analysis in support of corporate objectives and long-term planning. Key areas of responsibility include return of capital strategy, capital raises, credit monitoring, hedging, risk management, valuation/acquisition analysis and investor relations.
Title and compensation will be based on candidate’s level of experience and the Company’s discretion.
Responsibilities:
Maintains and enhances Company’s corporate planning model (NAV) and applies deep knowledge of absolute and relative valuation of E&P companies in complex financial analysis presented to leadership.
Manages hedging program and ensures compliance with Company’s hedging policy.
Leads all aspects of financing processes and capital raises, ensuring compliance with Company’s debt agreements.
Evaluate Company’s capital allocation policy and make recommendations to optimize as applicable.
Works with Business Development team to evaluate structuring, financing, hedging and valuation of potential transactions.
Leads the company’s Investor Relations efforts, including effective communications with equity research analysts and investors. Responsible for content generation, hosting investor meetings and all earnings call preparations.
Works closely with Accounting to understand results of operations on various financial statements.
Develops or analyzes information to assess the current or future financial status of Company and peers.
Plans development and implementation of finance policies intended to standardize reporting, forecasting, modeling, and other information.
Establishes objectives and standards of performance for staff with a focus on continuous improvement in process, tools and efficiency.
Coaches, motivates, and develops junior staff to improve their skills to fulfill their job requirements.
Knowledge & Skills:
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office with an emphasis on Excel
Strong Accounting knowledge, including how to read financial statements
Strong understanding of financial concepts including complex modeling, valuation, capital budgeting, and treasury management
Strong organizational skills with significant attention to detail and accuracy
Strong written and oral communication skills
Ability to work on multiple projects in a deadline driven environment
Must be willing to participate in a team environment
Strong initiative and ability to work independently
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting is preferred.
Investment Banking experience strongly preferred.
MBA strongly preferred.
