JOB DESCRIPTION:
Occupational Summary:
Assists the President and VP Finance in directing the organization’s accounting functions including analytical analysis, review reporting requirements and merger and acquisition transaction review. Contributes to the development and maintenance of financial reporting, planning and budgeting systems. Oversees the preparation of periodic reporting and required legal filings. Ensures that all corporate and required accounting policies and procedures are documented and followed by the organization. May train accounting staff. May coordinate with auditors.
Manages and oversees business analytics projects and processes to provide data-driven insights related to business performance used to advise and develop strategies for operational improvements and future business initiatives. Utilizes KPIs, business performance data, industry trends, competitor intelligence, and customer information to develop analytical tools, reports, and models across the organization to inform and support decision-making. Consults with stakeholders to understand the business model, objectives, issues, and challenges that analytics can support. Develops standards and collection processes to support robust analytics and reporting data pipelines. Builds teams with statistical methods, modeling, analytical methodologies, and data analysis skills to support the business.
Requirements:
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited College or University in Accounting or Finance
CPA and/or MBA preferred
Experience:
7+ years’ experience in a similar role, managerial role in finance or accounting for a manufacturing company
