Boart Longyear’s Corporate Financial Reporting team is looking for a self-motivated, proactive, well organized, analytical individual to provide direction and expertise over international technical accounting, financial reporting, and Boart Longyear’s accounting policies and procedures. The role is for an accounting senior or manager position depending on the candidates relevant experience and expertise. The individual should possess strong communication skills, the ability to work with cross-functional teams, a proven ability to manage concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment and be eager to contribute to the success of the department and the Company.
This role includes researching technical accounting matters, drafting technical accounting memos and policies, standardization of policy and procedures, special projects, financial reporting, interaction with external auditors and requires advanced research and analytical skills with a proven track record to drive accountability and deliver results.
The ideal candidate will have expertise in the technical accounting areas of business combinations, revenue recognition, goodwill impairment assessments, stock-based compensation, segment reporting, lease accounting, hedge accounting, and debt modifications/extinguishments.
