Description:
Analyzes financial data and maintains Custom Made Meal’s financial systems for general accounting/ledger and cost accounting. Responsible for accounts payable and accounts receivable. Maintains systems to ensure the accurate, timely, and proper accounting of financial data using Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Plans, directs, and coordinates ledger maintenance. Reports preparation and operating/financial statistics. Develops, recommends, and implements accounting practices throughout Custom Made Meals to ensure that financial and operating data accurately reflects the condition of the business and provides reliable information necessary to control operations.
The primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, performing a variety of functions to process accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash receipts and month end activities.
Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities
· Responsible for weekly accounts payable, including matching purchase order, receiving paperwork and invoice; processing payments in a timely and accurate manner; ensure appropriate signatures and proper back-up is attached.
· Answer account related inquiries and/or route inquiry to the appropriate department.
· Performs general administrative duties and assists on special projects as needed to support the department.
· Adheres to all safe quality food (SQF) requirements and standards in CMM. Including the proper handling of all produce according to SQF standards.
Preferred Qualifications
· HS Diploma or GED required. Specialized skills training/certification may be required. Generally, 2-5 years of experience in area of responsibility.
· Experience in bookkeeping, accounts payable/receivable, and cash balancing activities.
· Under limited supervision, relies on experience and exercises independent judgment to determine the best approach to achieve desired outcomes. Course of action is often determined by interpreting procedures and policies. Work typically involves periodic review of output by a supervisor.
Located in a refrigerated production facility environment but most of the time is spent in a comfortable indoor area. Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
