As the FP&A Lead, you will be a key input to leadership decision-making, providing data-driven insights and guidance to help shape the forward-looking financial strategy for KSG. Responsibilities will include managing cash flow, forecasting compensation liabilities, and overseeing client invoicing, receivables, and collection. You will be an active steward of KSG’s financial resources, helping establish financial performance metrics and an optimized approach to project financial management.
The ideal candidate plays a critical role in ensuring the continued financial health of KSG. We are seeking a candidate who can produce and deliver clear financial insights, partner with and equip leadership in response to headwinds, tailwinds, opportunities & risks, and propose optimizations based on a combination of factors including: organizational performance, economic trends, and broader market and industry influences.

In this position you will:
Support executive decision making by managing financial data and producing research & analysis that enables financial management at both the organizational and project level.
Build and maintain financial models, provide financial insights, highlight trends, and ensure overall financial health of the org
Oversee invoice production and accounts payable, receivables, and cash management
Optimize the process for reporting and dashboarding forecasting and financial management
Contribute to the planning of multi-year compensation liability forecasting
Ensure internal financial controls and mitigate financial risks
Oversee key vendor relationships (e.g., accountants and tax advisors)
Contribute to strategic discussions around process efficiency for pricing models and improving project profitability
Here’s what we hope you will bring
7-10 years experience as a financial business partner or in a financial leadership role in a consulting / tech industry focused role
Familiarity with project cost accounting and forecasting (including the concepts of gross margin, YTD profit, EAC profit, schedule risk, cost risk)
Deep understanding of project financial management (project cost ledgers, ITD, current period, estimate at complete)
Understanding of the fundamentals accounting (Balance Sheet, P&, cost allocation, AP, AR, Cash Flow)
Experience with financial modeling, including scenario analysis, decision analysis, uncertainty. forecasting revenue, capturing uncertainty in forecast, understanding cost structures (e.g., 80% of firms operating expenses are personnel costs)
Practical experience with ERP systems.
Background and familiarity with GAAP standards and cost accounting principles from the FAR (bonus)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including exceptional conversational,
facilitation, and presentation skills
Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate
Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and discretion
Experience working with fully distributed teams
