The Bookkeeper/Accounts Payable team is responsible process, track, and record payments in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner using Sage Accounting Software. The Bookkeeper will support the company in accurately managing and reporting financial transactions and streamline system processes, have both a day-to-day and ongoing impact on financial transactions, keeping us on track, on time, and on good terms with our valued partners.
Qualifications:
· High school diploma or equivalent, degree in accounting preferred
· Experience with accounts payable and Sage Accounting Software
· Intermediate Excel knowledge
· Comprehension of GAAP
· Strong organizational skills with high degree of attention to detail
· Strong analytic abilities
· Self-motivated team player
· Excellent written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills
Job Responsibilities, included but not limited to:
– Review and reconcile monthly statements and accounts accurately
– Prepare and report accurate monthly and year-end financial statements
– Review invoices for accuracy and valid documentation prior to payment
– Perform accurate invoice and general ledger data entry
– Generate purchase orders as necessary
– Issue Vendor checks and obtain signatures
– Assist senior officers as needed
– Accurately Coding and indexing invoices daily
– Working with vendors to research the status of invoices
– Processing emergency manual checks
– Processing and validating expense report reimbursements
– Research and resolve lost or problem invoices and purchase orders
– Interfaces with vendors and coworkers to process payments
– Maintains and updates data, records, and documentation within the accounting software, databases, filing systems
– Ensures records are accurate, well organized, accessible, and reportable
– Serves as point of contact of assigned vendors
– Provides assistance by obtaining and providing information or guidance related to account
– Protects operations by keeping company information confidential. Follows all documented policies, Standard Operating Procedures, and work Instructions applicable to the position and support of our company’s quality standards
