Quality Manager
This position is located in Newport, NH
We are in search of a Quality Manager with 5+ years’ experience to work in our Newport, NH location. As an instrumental member of our Team, the Quality Manager is expected to work collaboratively with leadership, operations, employees, and other functional areas, to promote a productive and amicable work environment and mentor others within the organization regarding Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Control Plans, Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) and oversee continued compliance to internal processes and procedures across the business. This position is hands on and the right candidate will spend the majority of their time leading, and sharing their knowledge, and must be able to develop and maintain the Quality Management System to meet business needs. This individual must also be able to adhere to the Company’s core values of Integrity, Respect, Innovation and Teamwork.
Responsibilities:
System Development and maintenance. Assist to create and implement a quality vision, strategy, policies, and procedures. Contribute to new business initiatives and projects by reviewing and communicating the impact on Quality activities.
Tasks:
Manage an internal audit program to verify processes are being followed and lead improvement opportunities.
Play a key role in ensuring project objectives become deliverables.
Lead a ‘correct at source’ and problem-solving methodology (Lean).
Implement, maintain and ensure compliance of all relevant procedures described in the Quality Management System (QMS).
Play a key role while establishing required containment actions, full analysis, poka-yokes, and implementing countermeasures/corrective actions to warranty, internal and external quality issues.
Champion a sustaining continuous improvement culture.
Update quality documentation and communicate to carry forward quality concerns and lessons learned.
Propose new systems and procedures where appropriate.
Train as required in all aspects of the quality system and procedure application.
Undertake Quality Management System (QMS) internal audits.
Assist with root cause analysis and resolution.
Identify business improvement opportunities within the organization.
Ensure that the function operates in accordance with any health, safety and environmental policies and procedures to ensure the safety and wellbeing of staff and visitors
Input and responsibility for Quality budgets
Communicate with personnel at all levels, internally and externally to the Company, in relation to quality matters.

Qualifications and Experience Levels:
5+ years’ Quality Management experience preferred
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Quality or Business Administration
Lean manufacturing experience preferred
Membership of an industry related professional body would be advantageous
