HJF is seeking a Senior Finance Manager to support the Emerging Infectious Diseases Branch (EIDB), located at 6720B Rockledge Dr, Bethesda, Maryland. HJF provides scientific, technical, and programmatic support services to EIDB.
Effectively manages and oversees the fiscal execution of a project portfolio including but not limited to award administration and compliancy, revenue collection, expenditure recordation, indirect cost analysis, and development of financial policies and procedures. Additionally, assist leadership by providing monthly briefings outlining programmatic decisions and planning.
NOTE: As per Executive Order 14042, all HJF employees are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Proof of vaccination or an approved religious or medical accommodation will be required.
Responsibilities:
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Extensive knowledge of grants administration, fund accounting, and OMB Uniform Guidance (2 CFR 200); strong analytical and communication skills, strong initiative, sound judgement, and discretion; ability to communicate with all levels of people. Expert at Microsoft Excel.
Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree in Accounting, finance, business administration, or related field preferred.
Minimum Experience/ Training Requirements: A minimum of 9-10 years of experience is required.
Supervisory Responsibilities: May recommend the following: employee hiring, disciplinary action, and starting salaries; provide input on employee performance evaluations.
Work Environment: Office Environment.
Work Arrangement: This is a hybrid work environment with flexibility to telework a few days per week.
