Senior Manager Financial Reporting
$2.4B SEC Fashion Retailer – Downtown LA, CA or 100% Remote – $150-160K, may stretch, plus discretionary 20% bonus
The Sizzle:
· If candidate is local, can be hybrid, can also be 100% remote if not local
· Does not have to work PST hours but during peak times needs to be available
· Travel to HQ 2-4 weeks broken up per quarter, other travel based on other projects
· Some weekend hours
· This role will be tasked with improving processes
· Will consider someone being promoted to Sr. Manager
· Will look at Big 4 public accounting experience or public/private mix
· Must have at least 8 years of experience
· CPA preferred
· 2-3 weeks PTO
Senior Manager Financial Reporting -Minimum Education & Experience
· 8-10+ years of experience preferred in public accounting/auditing
Senior Manager Financial Reporting – Job Responsibilities and Duties:
· Help manage the timely and accurate quarterly and annual SEC filings. Direct the preparation of financial support for periodic internal management meetings, audit committee meetings and quarterly earnings conference calls. Manage monthly global balance sheet review and recommend balance sheet reserves. Ensure firm is in compliance with SEC regulations. Develop and maintain monthly reporting packs from international business units.
· Create and updates global accounting policies and practices manual. Provide training and communication of global accounting policies to users. Oversee the research and implementation of new accounting pronouncements.
· Acts as a liaison with external and internal auditors. Coordinate development of the annual external audit plan and actively monitor the fieldwork progress and findings of the external audit team. Ensure timely completion of all follow-up items/issues from the audit reports. Coordinate requests with external auditors and internal auditors.
· Senior Manager Financial Reporting will manage financial aspects of special projects relating to new business ventures, acquisitions, financing structures, compensation structures. Proactively identify reporting performance challenges and facilitate the development and execution of improvements. Proactively drive system and technology initiatives relating to reporting.
· Senior Manager Financial Reporting is responsible for the coaching and development of staff members. Monitors performance and provides continuous feedback to staff. Recruit talent and develops career paths to retain staff members.
