We are a fast-growing technology company seeking a Marketing Specialist in Communications who can help own various aspects of our outbound marketing strategy. The ideal candidate is someone who has a proven track record of developing marketing collateral, pitching solution and campaign ideas, securing media coverage in prominent media outlets, and managing native social media. This candidate should have excellent written and verbal communication skills, with some basic design skills as well. B2B technology marketing and the ability to communicate technology in an effective way is preferred.
Responsibilities
· Plan and coordinate outbound marketing campaigns for social media channels and newsletter email communications
· Write and design product and solution collateral for native social media posts and newsletter communications
· Plan product launch activities including, developing messaging, writing necessary product collateral, and coordinating review and announcement opportunities in the press
· Manage public relations activities including, distributing press releases, pitching solution ideas to relevant industry-related media, planning and executing media-related events, and providing interviews as requested
· Manage existing media relationships and cultivate new contacts for reviews and publications in traditional and digital media
· Write and develop customer case studies to create marketing collateral for website and outbound marketing activities
· Monitor industry news, social media, and reader comments and report on relevant trends, customer feedback, and brand perceptions
· Track media coverage, native social media and newsletter engagement, and be able to analyze and report necessary analytics (i.e. engagements, open rates, click-through-rates, etc.)
Qualifications
· Bachelors degree in marketing, communications, public relations, journalism or related field
· Enthusiastic about technology and passionate about learning the IT industry and Synology’s unique product offering
· Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to create a cohesive narrative, develop product marketing collateral, and design engaging social media posts
· Comfortable pitching the media, talking on the phone, and developing professional relationships with industry writers and creatives
· Familiarity with social media marketing strategies
· Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
· Organized and detailed-oriented and able to meet all deadlines
· At least 4-5 years full-time experience in marketing, social media, public relations, or a related field.
