The Cloud Supply Chain and Infrastructure finance team is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to provide leadership, vision and financial expertise. This person will help to establish and manage the procurement, inventory management, and valuation of our Server/Rack inventory. In addition, this person will provide Finance partnership, insight and analysis for the Cloud Hardware Supply Chain team…the team responsible for the bulk of Microsoft’s Cloud Server/Rack spend.
Responsibilities

Business partnership: Act as a strategic and trusted advisor to business partners to influence business direction and development.
Analytical: Model and analyze key strategic drivers to influence and drive planning decisions and strategic activities. Monitor trends and key drivers, proactively recommending courses of action.
Define, track and report key results/metrics to assess overall business health
Work closely with partner teams to identify and evaluate the quality of different data sources used for key result/metric calculations and performance analysis
Manipulate and analyze complex, high-volume, high-dimensionality data from varying sources using a variety of tools and data analysis techniques
Deliver in-depth analysis on business performance (trends, funnels) and drivers, as well as forecasts and targets
Build/design dashboards to enable ongoing monitoring of business health
Work with data engineers to operationalize dashboards and ingest new data sources (provide data modeling requirements)
Ensure data accuracy
Finance rhythms of business: Own orchestrating budget, forecasts, LRP, monthly close, in alignment with corporate and MSIO timelines. Communicate required deliverables clearly and facilitate reviews with leaders in a timely manner.
Controls and compliance: Ensure monthly financial results are stated accurately and in accordance with company policies. Ensure adequate internal controls are in place.
Process improvement: Continuously improve processes to drive automation, efficiency, prioritization, and cross team collaboration.
Collaborate with manager to identify high impact projects that will drive business success and align to your personal development goals.
Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science, or related field AND 2+ years of post-graduate financial analysis, accounting, controllership, or finance work experience
OR Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science, or related field
OR equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Ability to collaborate and be comfortable dealing with ambiguity, influencing across multiple complex organization, and creating effecting partnerships. Ability to achieve results through both individual and cross team efforts, to manage multiple projects at the same time, and to work effectively under deadline constraints.
Strong data analyst experience using languages such as SQL and Python
Ability to understand, translate and map business and product questions into analytical projects
Demonstrated expertise in financial modeling and analysis. Problem-solving attitude. Experience in influencing decisions and developing strategic plans. Ability to “think outside the box” and not be hindered by how things have been done in the past.
Go Getter. Willing to go the extra mile with a strong work ethic. Self-directed, resourceful, and willing to roll-up sleeves as needed. Proven ability to drive projects and analysis to closure in a collaborative and matrixed environment
Expertise in financial planning and analysis, including analysis, forecasting, planning, reporting, and developing financial models.
Excellent written and verbal communications translating financial analysis and insights into meaningful and actionable business communications and recommendations
Excellent Excel and Office skills
