We are excited to look for a Workforce Analytics Manager to join our Avery Dennison HR team! In this role, you are a hands-on contributor, as well as an influencer who will be deeply involved in the evolution of Avery Dennison†s workforce data and analytics strategy. You will own the end-to-end delivery of key data projects and analysis that transforms HR and organizational data into practical insights and support the leadership to achieve talent management and workforce strategic goals. This role will require a driven self-starter and an effective communicator that has in-depth experience with converting data into strategic insights through data visualizations. You will serve as a key leader for a growing Workforce Analytics team, and part of the larger, Global Workforce Operations organization.
What you†ll do:
Develop, implement, and manage workforce analytics projects, areas include recruiting, compensation, talent management, diversity, equity, & inclusion as well as the integration of HR data into other analytical areas.
Design and build automated dashboards that enable and empower client self-service.
Manage relationships with BI/analytics solutions vendors, and partner with internal technical resources to coordinate activities to link internal and external data solutions, as needed.
Partner with HR leaders to design and implement new data projects, analyze data; create executive summary presentations and dashboards to inform people-related business decisions.
Independently construct logical storylines and present analyses with data-driven insights to key clients to successfully influence business actions with minimal supervision.
Work with the HR Solutions team to implement standard processes and controls that maintain data integrity across systems and alignment with data privacy standards.
Hands-on contributor in building analytics solutions; client management, active listening, architecting, and scoping of projects.
Communicates clearly and effectively with business partners, leadership, and executives.
Synthesizing data and information into coherent storytelling and recommendations.
Proactively identifies challenges/new opportunities as they relate to data infrastructure, tools, and analytics processes through building a general understanding of business unit needs
Conduct root cause analysis to identify problems or events related to data discrepancies.
Mentors junior team members and coaches HR business partners on workforce analytics practices.
Qualifications
3+ years of working experience in HR data analytics (eg headcount, attrition, recruiting, internal mobility, diversity metrics)
3+ years of working experience with Tableau or similar data visualization tools (Tableau strongly preferred)
3+ years of PeopleSoft HRMS reporting experience preferred
Experience using SQL to query database and retrieve data for analyses
An analytical mindset: able to break down large problems, develop multiple approaches to solutions, and deliver data-driven insights
Experience with cross-functional collaborations, working with global teams to produce data analytics, reporting, and automation capabilities
Experience creating and presenting data visualization outputs for executive leadership teams
Plus/Good to Have:
Proficiency in SQL, R and Python or similar language experience
Experience with predictive analytics, data modeling and scenario planning
