Job Overview
Under the general direction of the Associate Dean, the Marketing, Communication, and Events Coordinator works with the Director of Business Development and will be responsible for the independent performance of the day-to-day marketing, media relations, communication activities, and planning and execution of major events for the College of Business Administration.
This work will require collaboration with staff from the Dean’s Office, throughout the College and University, and external campus partners (e.g., alumni, community partners, etc.). In addition, this position will participate in building a brand identity for the College. The Marketing, Communication, and Events Coordinator will assist in the review and address branding needs for all College publications, both undergraduate, graduate, and our Extended Learning Programs.
Independently plan, develop, and execute the event-related activities and marketing, public affairs, media relations, and publications activities for the College of Business Administration (CoBA). Serves as the primary contact and coordinator for all events sponsored by CoBA; acts as the liaison to university committees and departments involved in various aspects of event coordination; oversees CoBA programming, marketing, and event budget and performs all related budget management functions.

This is a full time, temporary, exempt position ending on or before June 1, 2023. Reappointment to this position is dependent upon the individual’s performance as well as administrative and budgetary considerations. The university reserves the right to terminate this appointment earlier than the scheduled expiration date.
This position is eligible for a broad range of benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurances, retirement (CalPERS), tuition waiver, vacation and sick leave. In addition, 14 paid holidays are offered each year; 13 scheduled on specific days and a Personal Holiday that may be taken any time during the year.

Anticipated Hiring Salary Range: $4,500 – $5,000 per month
CSU Classification Salary Range: $3,515 – $6,358 per month
