Position Summary
The primary role of the Manager, R&D Finance (Co-Pilot) is to partner with and provide strategic direction to the global R&D and Technical Operations teams with a focus on expanding the Aimmune core program pipeline as well as maintain discipline with the portfolio development costs. Working closely with the Aimmune CFO and the NHSc’s Head of R&D Finance, the R&D Finance Manager will:
Drive the long-term and annual budgeting processes, including the development of the budget templates and annual bottoms-up budgets, working across all R&D and Technical Operations functions to build a detailed bottoms-up forecast for the R&D programs.
Deliver accurate and timely dynamic forecasts and develop ad hoc analyses to better understand the R&D and Technical Operations business performance, risks, and opportunities for all programs of responsibility.
Work closely with Development, Regulatory, and Technical Operations leadership teams to control costs and provide guidance and support on strategic decisions.
Lead the development of cross-functional quarterly management deliverable and corresponding report out to Aimmune global leadership to articulate business performance, trends, risks, and opportunities.
The Co-Pilot will partner with the R&D teams on ROI and/or NPV analyses, KPI alignment, portfolio reviews and (as needed) due diligence.
Support the monthly close process with timely and accurate financials that could be easily substantiated in an audit.
Constantly look for areas of business optimization, streamlining and champion process improvement.
