Position Summary:
This manager will lead and develop the budgets, forecasts and three-year plans for our Vertical Integration department (Food Manufacturing Facilities). This manager will provide analytical support and forecast related financial analyses of results to Senior Staff and Cross Functional Leadership Team. They will be responsible for the financial planning process to ensure department plans support strategic business initiatives of the company. They will be responsible for providing financial advice and support to clients and colleagues to enable them to make sound business decisions.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the FP&A department and coordinate and support the development of budgets, forecasts and three year plans for our “Vertical Integration” Department (Food Manufacturing Facilities)
Collaborate and build relationships with leadership in the development and support of financial forecasting, long-range planning, budgeting and financial reporting efforts.
Support the consolidation of budgets and forecasts and regularly interact with FP&A teams across multiple locations.
Accurately project operating results utilizing and incorporating current trends, future expectations, external forces and the organization’s strategic plans.
Work with the Finance representatives of our Third Party Vendors who support our manufacturing facilities
Identify the financial reporting needs of senior executives and management and effectively interpret, communicate and present, on a regular basis, through both written and verbal medium, the Division’s operating results, forecasts, budgets, variances and trends.
Responsible for managing their assigned staff. Responsible for hiring, training, and developing associates. Manages performance through performance planning, coaching, appraisal and disciplinary efforts. Communicates company and departmental policies to associates.
Continually identify and implement improvements to existing processes, forecasting techniques and leverage financial systems in the innovative development and implementation of executive level reporting tools which support decision making and understanding of financial results.
Requirements:
7 – 10 years of finance experience, preferably within Food Manufacturing
Bachelor’s Degree. Master’s Preferred – Finance, Accounting or Related Field
30% travel to Rhode Island
