JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY:
RKA Petroleum Inc., is looking for an experienced FP&A Manager to join our team. This position will require the individual to take ownership, be the leader, and create/improve the current organizations financial strategy. The FP&A Manager should demonstrate strong evidence of working in a financial leadership role.
The CFO will be accountable for all other accounting associates and will be responsible for all financial reporting and must be well-versed in all aspects of financial management ranging from simple accounting to broad investment and banking operations.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Serving as a finance partner to departmental budget owners and keeping managers aware of their financial performance
· Assist with due diligence efforts for investment opportunities
· Develop and manage bottoms up / departmental budget templates and process
· Preparing monthly and quarterly financial reporting, P&L forecasts, and provide detailed analysis and commentary on department results against the forecast
· Leading the preparation of the annual financial investment plan in partnership with Product, R&D and Operations
· Owning the planning & reporting calendar and driving scalable process improvements to simplify, align and drive accountability
· Defining, measuring, and reporting progress against key financial KPIs; manage and maintain KPI Scorecards and tracking for all department heads
· Ad hoc strategic projects and financial modeling, as required
· Developing plans for growth to increase company profit and finding ways to reduce expenditures
· Analyze financial and operation results to understand business performance
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
· BA/BS degree in business, finance or related field, MBA or professional accounting designation preferred
· Experience in a Corporate FP&A or similar role, preparing financial reporting and P&L forecasts
· A strong track record of building deep cross-functional relationships with business partners across the organization
· Strong financial acumen and advanced proficiency in financial modeling, experience building complex and detailed financial models from scratch
· Strong analytical, decision-making and and critical thinking skills
· An ability to thrive in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment
· A strong track record of execution and impact in a series or progressive experiences
· Outstanding communication skills, including strong storytelling and an ability to clearly communicate financial information to business stakeholders at all levels within the organization
· The ability to work independently, thrive on change and balance multiple priorities simultaneously
· Experience using NetSuite or similar software services
