AWS Finance seeks a Finance Manager to be a key leader supporting the containers business. AWS containers services make it easier for customers to manage their underlying infrastructure, whether on premises or in the cloud, so they can focus on innovation and their business needs. Nearly 80 percent of all containers in the cloud run on AWS today. Customers such as Samsung, Expedia, GoDaddy, and Snap choose to run their containers on AWS for security, reliability, and scalability. This position will work closely with AWS Services FP&A as well as key business partners across the AWS organization, including product managers, engineering leaders, sales and business development leadership, and internal AWS teams to drive thoughtful analysis and controllership in the AWS Containers business.
Position location is flexible, wherever AWS has a presence. Preferred locations: Arlington, Seattle, NYC, Boston, Dallas.
Key job responsibilities
A day in the life
The successful candidate will be the Containers Finance lead to implement and drive the core financial processes for the business including Annual Operating Plans, Service P&Ls, Monthly/Quarterly Business Reviews, identify and quantify financial/operational Risks and Opportunities (R&O) to the business, deal modeling, pricing, and drive ad-hoc business projects.
This role requires a self-starter with a strong financial modeling background, problem solving skills, a keen attention to detail, ability to work in a fast-paced environment with ambiguous situations, and solid skills in people management and thought leadership. This role has regular interaction with various business units across Amazon and requires strong people skills.
