This is a high visibility role and a successful candidate in this role should be able to work collaboratively with various finance, business and tech partners, be comfortable in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment, help plan and lead all FP&A teams throughout all finance operation cycles through good verbal and written communication, and have high standards for accuracy, logical reasoning skills, and strategic thinking.

Key job responsibilities

• Server as the key finance partner to all AWS FP&A teams
• Partner with TM1 Tech team on TM1 system issues/upcoming deadlines to support finance operating cycles.
• Own the planning and publishing of all calendar, guidance & communications for all finance operating cycles including month-end close, monthly/quarterly forecasts, and planning cycles
• Drive/Lead the weekly meeting with AWS FP&A teams
• Maintain the AWS Finance SharePoint site, including key deliverable/meeting dates.

A day in the life

Examples:

• Work with AWS FP&A teams to align on timeline and deliverables
• Partner with TM1 tech team to align on a schedule to support upcoming planning cycle
• Prepare timeline and guidance for upcoming MEC/R&O/OP cycles
• Excellent communication skills, ability to simplify complex topics for broad audiences, and targeting the message to specific audiences
• Relentlessly high standards and attention to detail
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
• Experience supporting Finance or Accounting customers
• Ability to work independently and self-motivate in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment; high tolerance for ambiguity.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously and drive projects to completion.
